La Familia Figueroa

La Familia Figueroa is a half-hour animated comedy series about three generations of an urban Latin American family, living under one roof, just trying to get by in today’s America. Through their own individual and collective quirky misadventures, the show parodies Latin American and American culture, pop culture trends, television and media, current events, and the universal human condition.
Neurotic father and amusement park safety inspector Edwin, wants nothing more than peace and quiet, while his bossy wife Evette micromanages the household every second of every hour. They share their home with adolescent and ultra-Americanized son Kleber, teenage daughter diva and activist Juliana, thuggish cousin Cito, and grumpy geriatric Gran’pa. These characters live on a tight budget within the confines of a three-bedroom apartment in Conejo Island (based on Coney Island, New York City), where privacy is the biggest luxury they crave. Each is on a never-ending journey toward realizing their own unique version of the ‘American Dream,’ sometimes helping, but usually hindering, each other in the process.
An extensive treatment package (filled with concept art and character bios) and half-hour pilot script will be completed on December 1st, 2011. All interested parties and networks should contact William through email for further information.
